Most of our countrymen witnessed last year's Miss Universe Pageant, an annual international beauty contest run by the American-based Miss Universe Organization. It was seen in more than 190 countries around the world and seen by more than half a billion people.

Miss Catriona Gray was the Philippines' representative in the pageant and our fellow Filipinos from all walks of life watched and cheered for the country's pride.
