Bugasong is blessed with bountiful harvests, colorful heritage and culture, happy and beautiful people and most of all, serene environs. One of the many places Bugasongnons are proud of is the Bat Sanctuary located in Barangay Pangalcagan, one of the upland barangays in the eastern part of the locality which is more than an hour travel from the town proper thru habal-habal or for-rent motorcycles.

According to the locals, those bats stayed on their place and keep coming back despite of several attempts of shooing them away.
